# API reference: endpoints and parameters

> Every DexPaprika REST endpoint with its parameters, response shape and a runnable example: networks, DEXes, pools, tokens, OHLCV and transactions.

> **Need a higher allowance and dedicated infrastructure?** Check out the [Pro API](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-pro/introduction.md). Current allowances, rates and prices are on the [pricing page](https://dexpaprika.com/api/pricing).

This is the endpoint reference. If you are new to the API, start at the [DEX API introduction](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/introduction.md), which covers what we index, the networks we cover and a first request.

The DexPaprika DEX API provides near real-time data about tokens, liquidity pools, and decentralized exchanges on 36 blockchains. Below you can find the most popular endpoints that you can use to build your own applications:

## Quick start

We will make a GET request to the [Token](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-reference/tokens/get-a-tokens-latest-data-on-a-network.md) endpoint in order to get the latest price in USD of TRUMP. All we need is the [network ID](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-reference/networks/get-a-list-of-available-blockchain-networks.md) and the token address.

```bash theme={null}
curl -X GET "https://api.dexpaprika.com/networks/solana/tokens/6p6xgHyF7AeE6TZkSmFsko444wqoP15icUSqi2jfGiPN"
```

This will return latest data about TRUMP (TRUMP) on Solana:

## Base URL

All API endpoints use the following base URL:

```
https://api.dexpaprika.com/
```

That is the host for keyless calls and for free registered keys. Paid plans call
`https://api-pro.dexpaprika.com` instead, with the key in the `Authorization` header. See
[upgrading to Pro](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-pro/upgrading.md).

## Authentication

Requests work with no key at all. To use one, send it as the entire `Authorization` header value:

```bash theme={null}
curl -H "Authorization: api_YOUR_KEY" "https://api.dexpaprika.com/networks"
```

> [!WARNING]
>
> **The key is the entire header value.** Nothing goes in front of it and nothing after it.
> Almost every other API expects a scheme word first, which is why this is the most common
> cause of a failed first authenticated call. If your HTTP client only offers a token field
> that prepends one for you, set a raw header instead. See
> [401 Unauthorized](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/knowledge-base/error-handling.md#401-unauthorized).

Free keys stay on `https://api.dexpaprika.com`. Only [Pro](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-pro/introduction.md) moves to
`api-pro.dexpaprika.com`, and sending a free key there returns `403`. Get a key at
[console.dexpaprika.com](https://console.dexpaprika.com).

## Common use cases

Here are some popular ways to use our API:

> **Track Token Prices**
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> # Get USDC price and trading data
> curl -X GET "https://api.dexpaprika.com/networks/solana/tokens/EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v"
> ```

> **Monitor Liquidity Pools**
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> # Get all pools where SOL is traded
> curl -X GET "https://api.dexpaprika.com/networks/solana/pools/search?token_address=So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112"
> ```

> **Search Tokens**
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> # Search for "Jupiter" token across all networks
> curl -X GET "https://api.dexpaprika.com/search?query=jupiter"
> ```

### FAQs

> **Do I need an API key?**
>
> Not to start. No key, no card, no email: a curl works right now. [Registering a free key](https://console.dexpaprika.com) raises both the per-minute rate and the 30-day allowance, and still needs no card. Current figures are on the [pricing page](https://dexpaprika.com/api/pricing) and in [rate limits](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/knowledge-base/rate-limits.md).

> **What data can I query?**
>
> Liquidity pools, swap transactions, token metrics/prices, and network coverage across multiple chains.

> **How do I find a pool or token identifier?**
>
> Use the Coverage Checker tool or the Networks/Token endpoints to locate addresses.

> **How fast is the data?**
>
> Collection is near real-time; responses reflect the latest indexed blocks and events.

## Rate limits

Keyless callers get a rolling 30-day credit allowance and a per-minute rate with no signup at all. A [free key](https://console.dexpaprika.com) raises both, and [Pro](https://docs.dexpaprika.com/api-pro/introduction.md) raises them again. The current figures are on the [pricing page](https://dexpaprika.com/api/pricing). One request costs one credit and batch endpoints cost one credit per item; there are no compute units or per-endpoint weights.
